Well Abandonments

Well abandonment refers to the process of filling and sealing an unused well with an approved material such as bentonite chips, benseal, concrete, and state approved materials. Abandoned wells pose potential safety hazards and threats to groundwater quality if not correctly abandoned (decommissioned). It is important to locate and identify old or out-of-service wells on your property to avoid any potential risk. We can help in determining if a well should be abandoned, permitting the well to be abandoned and the actual sealing and filling of the well.
